Benefits of Hosting a Regional Workshop
A company, school, or organization hosts a workshop locally for their employees, faculty, administrators, and/or staff. Local or Regional Workshops allow colleagues to come together at a more localized level to share experiences, network, and learn from one another as they address issues and best practices that are specifically relevant to their profession or industry. Regional Workshops create a more personal and engaging environment where each person is featured and encouraged to participate. Keeping a workshop local also eliminates overnight travel and other expenses. Many host sites choose to open registration to other schools, businesses, or organizations to meet registration requirements and share practices in their field or profession.
Host Workshop Details
- Typically a one-day, single-topic workshop, although other arrangements can be made.
- The host provides meeting space, Wi-Fi, and audiovisual equipment (projector, screen, and possibly microphone and speakers, depending on audience size).
- The cost for each workshop is based on the number of participants. Workshop fees include the facilitator’s stipend and travel-related expenses.
